PASTOR ROSE MARY CURRY

Pastor Curry is first and foremost a child of the living God.

Pastor Curry accepted the call to preach the Gospel in 1995 and was first licensed to preach by Pastor Brenda Conyers of New Beginnings Deliverance Church in Richmond, VA in July of 1996. She was again licensed in December of 1996 by Pastor Michael R. Reed of Willie Chapel Baptist Church.

She was ordained to preach the Gospel @ WCBC in December of 2007. This was a first for Willie Chapel due to the fact that no one had ever been licensed or ordained in the entire church history

In May of 2008 Pastor Rose was installed at Willie Chapel Baptist Church as the first female Pastor in the over one-hundred-year history of the Northern Neck Baptist Association.

She has attended Richmond Christian Counseling Center as well as the International College of Bible Theology and she is a humble graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religious Studies.

She has been given the awesome assignment of counseling women from local churches with their Pastors’ permission. These ladies want a pastor’s perspective with a woman’s wisdom and insight.

Her Pastor, M. Reed of Clarksville Baptist Church, Warsaw, VA remarked, “One of the most admirable qualities of this pastor is that she loves God and truly loves God’s people.”

Pastor Curry is married to Deacon James Curry, and has three sons, James Jr., Jason, and Jordan. Their marriage has blessed her with five grandsons and three granddaughters

The mottos that she lives by are “It’s not about me” & “Jesus Can.”
